How UV and DTG Printers Improve Printing

WHY PRINTING IMPROVED YEARS

As new generations arrive, new styles and new customer behavior are evolving. Various businesses have changed, including the printing industry.

Printing was a useful tool in the beginning that enabled us to read. Gradually, however, printing became widely used in various trades and industries. With more use, more problems became a priority, and people were looking for solutions.

Thanks to technology, even printers have made great strides with its help.

Today, we will talk about two interesting printers that have changed the way we view printing. They are UV printers and DTG printers.

WHAT IS A UV PRINTER?

The UV printer uses ultraviolet radiation to print on a flat surface. It works on a variety of materials, including metal, stone, plastic, acrylic, leather, etc.

Ultraviolet radiation cures ink while printing occurs. It is because of this structure that UV printing can be done on a variety of materials.

Usually, UV printing is done on flat areas. However, new techniques make it possible to do the same in cylindrical areas.

BENEFITS OF USING UV PRINTER

Since ink is cured almost immediately during printing, ink dots do not get a chance to spread to the substrate. This makes the print more transparent with high color saturation.

Ink does not enter the substrate. Instead, the ink stays solid on the outer surface of the substrate.

Due to the rapid drying of the ink and poor absorption properties, the ink does not receive the chemical reaction with the substrate. This ensures the important protection of the substrate and opens up the printing methods for a wide variety of materials.

UV printing is also eco-friendly because it emits unmixed organic compounds.

Due to the rapid therapeutic properties, production time is reduced.

When printing with UV printers, you do not need to cover the top with laminate over or placed under glass. Since no additional items are required and less ink is needed to print; UV printers also reduce printing costs.

Rapid drying of the ink also makes the ink resistant to smear.

UV printing gives a consistent print without the effect of blurring and gives a glossy print look that looks good on the eyes.

WHAT IS A DTG PRINTER

DTG stands for Direct to garment. So as the name suggests, DTG printers are used to print on garments directly. They are widely used today to make custom-made garments, especially t-shirts for consumers.

This method of printing appeared in the 1990’s and became commercially available in 2005.

During DTG printing, the ink goes directly into the fabric of the garment, so it is impossible to feel or rub the ink when touched.

BENEFITS OF USING THE DTG PRINT

DTG printing offers a wide variety of colors to choose from. It can be used not only on white clothes but also on colored ones.

With the advancement of technology, DTG printing has become easier. Digital software can be used to create clothing designs. It can be used to create detailed designs according to customer requirements.

Based on water, DTG printing is environmentally friendly.

Low set costs also make DTG printing an attractive option.

With the use of DTG printing, there can be both mass production and short production speed.

It also saves time as printing happens faster.
